Taxis of the Ceuta´s Frontier

No sooner having crossed the .......... border of Ceuta we enter the centre of Magreb. Public transport is a good option. It`s cheap and for people who like to live on the edge it`s very recommendable. The first thing you come across after the border is the taxi "stand". Some say that they wait two days to pick up a passenger. As soon as they see a tourist looking for a taxi, they mob him, offering him their services shouting louder to be heard over the barrage of voice. Like in an auction, the prices become lower and lower if the tourist doesn`t decide, until the miracle of a bargain arises. "Le grand taxi" is a Mercedes with licence to carry six passengers apart from the driver, although even eight can squeeze in with the driver. The service is planned to split up the fare with the rest of the occupants: very few natives could afford to pay the whole of the fare on their own. The driving style is like a rollercoaster, and seen from the point of view of a neophyte tourist "We`re going to die, we`re going to die, we`re going to die...uffff!"
