the Man of the Hotel

During our peregrination in search for the Egg we had got to know Chefchaouen and some of its secrets, discovering a place to return to. It is called Little Granada due to its similarity to an Andaluz town. Founded by the Spaniards during their imperialist era, it was originally a fortified strategic point, which grew to become the town that it is today. The fort, situated in the main square, is a museum nowadays and was where once the artists lived who exhibited their work in the individual galleries. Chefchaouen's houses are all white with blue doors and windows, to scare away the mosquitoes it is said, which give the wandering through its alleys a particularly pleasant mood. Its people are very friendly, hospitable, and laid-back. You will have no trouble finding people who speak four or five languages, which they practice with the tourists.
