Moroccan mint tea is prepared in a myriad of ways and with many different teas but always with plenty of mint and a lot of sugar. It accompanies social gatherings and is drunk constantly. There is tea at least three times a day in any self-respecting home. The aroma it emits irresistibly attracts the bees. It`s called, ironically, "moroccan whiskey". Officially alcohol is banned in Morocco, as a drug, except for tourists and some refineries in Fes and Meknes.
